Making It NOT Happen??

Dear readers,

Hi! This is Making-It-Happen, Debbie's blog. How has everyone been doing? Have you been making something happen lately?

I must admit that I have been a pretty bad blog lately. My poor owner has had two attempts at posting a blog within the last two days, only for me to swallow them up when her head was turned! Yes, yes, I know, you're as disappointed with me as much as I am with myself...but I couldn't help it! It was REALLY yummy

I shall have to hereby solemnly promise that I will not so do for a third time, or else I shall have to be renamed "Making-It-Not-Happen"!

Signed,

(still) Making-It-Happen... for now!

Epiphanies

This blog has been derelicted...yet again. I've been having a slight case of sudden heebie-jeebies lately. Not accustomed to being accustomed to change. However, I am unremmitingly working to stick to what I've set out to accomplish and not to be beleaguered by sloth-like behaviour OR belligerent animosity coming from other people who seemingly have a MORE massive case of heebie-jeebies compared to me.

Anyhow, I had an EPIPHANY last week!

OK.

TWO epiphanies....

OK.

Maybe more than two...         Bear with me

EpIpHaNy no.1: My German friend walked into the class presumptuously, albeit in a rush. She held a transparent box resembling a mutated sushi box containing a black-looking chunky mass. All around, everyone was yelling sushi? SUSHI? You brought sushi for us? I was getting a teeny bit irritable as it was obvious that that mass was not sushi. Yet, people kept gaping in awe." SUSHI!" they cried and all this time German-girl was saying very audibly that,"IT'S NOT SUSHI!! YO!!!!" Yet, the sushi cry incessantly repeated. The other classmates came in and again, the sushi cry."What is it with these people?" I thought. Yes, it's palpable that something carried in a large sushi lookalike box would be sushi, BUT it can be so clearly seen that it was NOT a sushi for crying out loud! Furthermore, German-girl had been yelling in contrary to their cries.. Are people deaf? She plopped down breathlessly beside me and the huge chunky mass too which happened to be a block from the chocolate cake her aunt baked for her.

YES. IT WAS A CHOCOLATE CAKE. No, wait! That was not the epiphany If you're wondering why I am making such a fuss on details today, I have two justifications for you.

1. I am a girl. 2. I AM A GIRL.     OR you can resort for the Third reason which is tabulas screwing up on me. My expression through writing has been stifled. SO BEAR WITH ME!!!! *grins maliciously*

I turned over to German-girl with a look on my face which resembled a light bulb being turned on. I said,"Hey Timun(what I call German-girl), I have a theory." TING!!! "Many people see things they choose to believe in. Many people also look at the outside of something before the inside ever even hits them." Timun goes, "Yeaaaaahhh.. They perceive according to what they want to perceive. It's called scotoma, I think." Doo-doo here went and searched it up. Scotoma, as predicted by the ancient revived memory of Doo-doo here was something to do with a blind spot, and indeed it was. You guys can search it up if you want. I REFUSE to do it because that act was the very one that got my last entry so impertinently pulverised into thin air. In the words of the Father of Modern Economics, Adam Smith: Unintended consequence of an intended action. The irony. So much for drafting. HARUMPH!!!

This has inadvertently turned into a despicable oratory, hasn't it?   Most of my readers(if I have any)would have already left now. Oh BALDERDASH!....Hakuna Matata! You guys have low-blood pressure and great heart rates!

EpIpHaNy no.2: A shorter one I hope. SO many insane and broken relationships have been going on and ending in college and practically everywhere. You know how it hurts when a lover cheats on his/her lover? It struck me how real the pain would be in the spiritual context. You know how when people love each other deeply, they will do anything for the other half? (By anything, I mean matured things not jump off a bridge or the like.) Or how nothing bad ever seems unworkable on for some intimate couples who understand each other so well like I understand the word Y-O-U? Our Lord is just like that. What hurts these couples most? Enough to kill the spirit of a person? Infidelity of course. God is the same. He is hurt most like the statement romantics have made famous-a dagger plunged into the heart  when we idolise anything else besides him and you will never get the full picture unless you imagine it happening to you.So the epiphany? NEVER CHEAT? Yeah.. that too LOVE HIM for he first loved us!

EpIpHaNy no.3: Here and now is the gift! That's why it's called the present! Nice twist of words but that was the epiphany I had. Short one huh this one?   That concludes the doodles of my currently uneventful but fulfilling life.

Disclaimer: These epiphanies are not new.The situations cited are not oblique versions but clear cut ones.

Being Busy Is Quite Fun :)

My moral lecturer happens to be a difficult person to learn from. Thus, I have taken on the responsibility of expanding my moral education a little bit further by replacing her notes(which she has withdrawned from us) with Aesop's Fables. As I will be leaving the house in five minutes, I only have time to leave you with one.

The Fox And the Grapes

A famished fox crept into a vineyard where ripe, luscious grapes were draped high upon arbors in a most tempting display. In his effort to win a juicy prize, the fox jumped and sprang many times but failed in his attempts. When he finally had to admit defeat, he retreated and muttered to himself, " Well, what does it matter anyway? The grapes are sour!"

Moral: It is easy to despise what you cannot get.
